Welcome to a virtual tour of Aces Miniatures. We are located on two seperate farms, in Waukee and Des Moines, that equal over 30 acres of pastures, creeks and woods. These two farms are managed by Kay Haroldson and owned by Acey Haroldson. Aces Miniatures is a family operated farm that involves the works of three generations of the Haroldson family.
The Haroldson family has been involved with horses since the early 1960's. At this time Acey Haroldson purchased three Arabian mares: Dimon (Masruf el Nattall), Geenan (ibn Mirage) and Artabby (Bey Image). These three mares were the foundation of BonAce Arabians, which later became Aces Arabians.
Over the years the Haroldson family have been the breeders of many Champion Arabian Horses. Several of these are: Aces Cassanadra (National Champion), Mark Ace 2 (National Champion), Dalakada (National Reserve Champion), Gdance (National Reserve Champion), Aces Khemo (National Champion), Aces Snazzy (National Top Ten & Legion of Honor) and many more. We are still home to Aces Snazzy and Aces Cassanada, the sire of Aces Cassanadra and multiple Champion Halter gelding.
During the early 1990's, after several years of owning Miniatures and Shetlands on and off, Aces Arabians changed their focus to Miniature Horses, Aces Miniatures was born.
Aces Miniatures has won multiple AMHR National Championships and Reserve National Championships. We have also won multiple AMHA World Championships and Reserve World Championships.
We specialize in Miniature Horses that are under 34" tall. This allows all our horses to be registered with the American Miniature Horse Association (AMHA) and the American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR).
In the year 2007, Aces Miniatures began a new venture with Arabian Horse trainer Tammi Jay. Tammi has many years of experience training Arabians, and National Show Horses. She has won multiple Regional and National titles and currently works for Beethe Arabians. Together, with Tammi Jay, Aces Miniatures has created Aces Miniatures Southwest, Training by Tammi Jay, located in Scottsdale, AZ.
